Dr. KayLa N. Allen-Young -
The Dear Mixed Girl ® Creator

Coach, speaker, creative heart, and proud champion of mixed girls everywhere. As a biracial woman who’s experienced the challenges of identity, belonging, and being “too much” or “not enough,” Dr. KayLa created Dear Mixed Girl® to help others find power in their truth. Backed by advanced degrees in public health, epidemiology, and health administration—as well as training in psychology and coaching—she blends lived experience with research-based insight to offer transformative programs for girls, families, and the leaders who support them. Her work is fueled by purpose, grounded in compassion, and designed to help others rise.
"When you think about who you are, what does that consist of? Surely, the answer is different for every "mixed" girl. However, you have the opportunity to answer this question in whatever way you see fit. The answer can and may change throughout your life, as well."

Dear Mixed Girl Letters
You’ve just seen what’s possible.
Sometimes, all it takes is one choice—one moment of support—to help her shift from hiding parts of herself to walking proudly in her full identity. When change doesn’t happen, the cycle often continues, and that’s where the real cost begins.
If Nothing Changes… What Might She Lose?
– Internal Confusion
– Long-Term “Trying to Fit In”
– Living Out Only a Part of Oneself
– Inability to Reach Full Potential
These aren’t just growing pains—they’re patterns that can shape how your daughter sees herself for life.
From Frustrated to Free
Without support, she may stay trapped in frustration, identity confusion, and the need to conform. But when she’s truly seen and supported?
She becomes someone who is:
-Proud to be who she is
-Empowered to let her full self show
-Free from overwhelming judgment
-Excited to grow into her most whole identity
A Question for You
Are you ready to help your mixed daughter start living a full life—one that’s detached from outside judgment and grounded in self-awareness?
